Diagnostic Studies
At present, diagnostic studies are performed in coordination with all MDC facilities. Hoping to have them all integrated in NIMCH. Our state of the art Ultrasound and other diagnostic imaging studies and procedures provide accurate and prompt diagnosis.

Education
The NIMCH clinical instructor is responsible for the educational programs in Hospital. He/She coordinates and provides continuing education credits on various topics of diseases. The clinical instructor coordinates the monthly sessions and nursing updates. He/She oversees the library, which provides all disease-related materials to health care professionals and the general public.

To maintain the reputation in the field of higher education in medical science and research and to remain in the forefront of health care services, technology and education, the NIMCH established a Medical College with a vesting to develop it as a trend setter institute, so as to demonstrate a high standard of undergraduate education in Medicine, so badly needed in the country.

The college will offers 5 year’s MBBS course as approved BM&DC leading to MBBS degree of the University of Dhaka. The college has been accorded permission by the Ministry of health & family welfare, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and is affiliated with the University of Dhaka.

Social Services
The social services department is involved in the discharge planning of the patient. Through communication with the patient, Social Services ensure the continuum of care by facilitating the transition from in-patient stay to discharge to the appropriate level of care.

In-Patient Services
In-patient services include medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric and rehabilitation services.  Also provide mental health services and services for older people.

Out-patient clinics
NIMCH Out-patient clinics receive all patients as new referrals, after initial diagnosis, and follow up cases for the purpose of continuation of care. Out-patient services including emergency services, day procedures, diagnostic and assessment services, and therapy services. Hospitals also support various community based programs to prevent or reduce the need for hospitalization.

National Vitamin A+ Campaign

Services for kids at NIMCH  include:
• Physical and Occupational Therapy--The evaluation and treatment of balance, coordination, muscle control and motor skills. Aquatic therapy is also available.

• Speech and Language Therapy--This includes the evaluation and treatment of speech, language development, oral-motor/feeding skills and swallowing.

• Audiology--This involves the evaluation of hearing ability and middle ear status, as well as the management of a hearing loss after it has been identified. Hearing aids can be provided for those who may benefit.

• Developmental Therapy--This includes services to promote the child's acquisition of skills in a variety of developmental areas. Therapists can provide information and support services to enhance the child's skill development and enable the child to function at the highest level.

Our credentials and experienced staff strive to provide services in the child's natural environment. Funding through the State of Illinois may be available for those who qualify.
